Doncaster Deaf Trust Christmas Raffle Hamper Donation!

Doncaster Deaf Trust Christmas Raffle Hamper Donation!

This year is the first Christmas in business for Mrs Reed’s Emporium and we have decided to start as we mean to go on.

We have put together our first ever Christmas hamper and donated it to the Doncaster Deaf Trust to give away in their first ever Big Christmas light switch on and raffle.

Who are Doncaster Deaf Trust?

Since opening its doors in 1829, Doncaster Deaf Trust has been nurturing and empowering d/Deaf and hearing-impaired children and young people to grow into self-supporting adults, achieving their full potential.

It continues to expand its services, offering specialist interventions and overseeing the development of a Nursery, School, College, Children’s Home & Employability Service.

They offer a full curriculum for their students which includes extensive Skills for Life and British Sign Language programmes. Alongside this they also provide an amazing level of pastoral, communication, holistic and therapeutic person-centred support to help their students’ overcome barriers to learning.

Their raffle coincides with their big Christmas Light Switch-On and aims to raise money for the students at the school to take part in trips and extracurricular activities around the year.

So, What’s In The Hamper?

The Night Owl Metal Keyring
The Night Owl Lavender, Himalayan Salt & Jojoba Bath Bomb
The Wildberry Infused Tube Candle

The total RRP of the hamper is £55.89 and it contains some of our best selling items that have sold since we opened in August earlier this year.

Where Can I Get Raffle Tickets?

If you’re local to Doncaster and have a ticket to their event, you can get your raffle tickets from the school at the big switch on Tuesday 26th November 7pm-8:30pm.

The switch on is now Sold Out and it's lovely to see so many people supporting their cause.

I Didn't Get a Ticket, Can I Still Help The Trust?

Absolutely! Doncaster Deaf Trust are an independent non-maintained school and college and a registered charity, which means that they receive no local or central money at all.

If you can, please help their cause and donate to their Just Giving at https://www.justgiving.com/doncasterdeaftrust

We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Blessed Yule!
